Na Magha Hurling and Camogie Club is based in the City of Derry. Founded in 1982 we are located at the Templemore Sports Complex, but have plans to develop our own base and pitch. We currently manage hurling and camogie teams from U8 to Senior level. One of our main strengths is the fact that in a city as big as Derry, we are the only Hurling and Camogie Club.
Having achieved the Junior Clubmark Award, one of our missions is to develop hurling and camogie within the community and provide qualified coaches and support staff to achieve this. All our coaches have the proper coaching qualifications and have undergone child protection courses.
Please note that from Saturday 18th October, we shall be moving the training to St Cecilia’s Girl School on the Northland Road. We will be using the indoor halls. Therefore, please ensure that your child wears the appropriate footwear and continues to bring their helmets. The Club will provide the indoor hurling sticks and helmets (as required).
The cost of each session is £1.
Training sessions are to be staggered depending on age. We have set out below the times for each session:
AGE TIMES
All 8 year olds and under 11am until 12 noon
All Camogie players 11am until 12 noon
All 9 year olds and over 12 noon until 1pm
Please ensure that your child is registered, £1 paid, equipped with helmet and hurl and ready to go, at least 5 minutes before the start of their session. Then when collecting your child, again please ensure that they have all of their personal belongings with them.
All parents are welcome stay and join in with the training sessions!
We would like to thank all who contributed to the collection for young Aaron Murphy who unfortunately, lost an eye in an unfortunate accident. Through the money raised, we have been able to order a laptop computer, which will greatly assist Aaron with his schoolwork. We hope to make the presentation to him, within the next couple of weeks, at a training session.

Na Magha CLG is holding their Development Draw and Senior Presentation on Friday 24th October 2008 in the Delacroix, commencing at 9pm. MacArthur Park will provide the live entertainment and food will be served. Entrance is free, and we are keen to see as many parents, members and players (both past and present) as possible, in attendance for what promises to be a good evenings craic.
